Spin, Lights, Etc.: Wheel Accessories That Are Fun And Exciting
Have you ever seen those low rider cars with all of the tricks and vibrant colors? Even though you might initially be taken with the paint jobs and accessories around the car, there is more to look at when you take a closer look at the wheels. You can do literally anything with the wheels now, and it makes an incredible visual experience when you do. If you are thinking about "tricking out" your vehicle's wheels, try one or more of the following.
Spinning Spokes
Well, not actually spokes, but the inner components of every wheel spin even when the car is in motion. When the car is not in motion, these spinners are rotating slowly backward, which tends to make the car look like it is moving when it is not. If cars could moonwalk, it would look something like these spinner wheels. When the car is in motion, the spinners are spinning very quickly, giving the appearance of tires moving in opposite directions to their spinning wheels/rims. The spinning for each wheel is controlled by a an electrical box tucked safely inside and wired into your car's onboard computer system.
Lights
Lights inside the rims are not legal everywhere, so be sure to check with local authorities before you have these wheels installed. If they are legal, then you can light up the tires on your vehicle with green, purple, pink, or blue neon lights, which are charged and operated via a switch in your car dash and electricity from your car's battery and power system. If you combine lights with spinning spokes, you get a really cool effect on your tires.
Bright Electroplating
Who says your wheels/rims have to be a boring silver chrome color? They definitely do not have to be, considering that many specialty companies, like XD Wheels, can create custom electroplated wheels/rims in any color. You want deep turquoise or bright, cherry red? You can get that. You want royalty purple or magenta? You can get that, too. Just pick your rims, pick a color, and in a few weeks you can come back to the shop and have your custom wheel/rim installation job completed.
Look for Custom, Aftermarket Shops
None of the above is common to any vehicle you buy. If you want any of the above wheels/rims, you have to ask a custom wheel/rim shop to do this kind of work for you. You will need to find a good aftermarket shop for this
